Shining a light w/ ta walker!

A TooJay’s x Goodwill GoodGrub Collaboration

TooJay’s was thrilled to be featured on the NBC and FOX news segment “Shining a Light” with TA Walker, which celebrates businesses that make a meaningful impact on their communities and support causes greater than their own.

The segment highlighted our partnership with Gulfstream Goodwill’s GoodGrub program, an incredible initiative that provides students with disabilities hands-on experience in a real working kitchen.

During their visit to our bakery headquarters in West Palm Beach, where we make all of our delicious baked goods from scratch, the students had the opportunity to learn how to make our signature coconut cake.

Through this program, students not only learn practical culinary skills but also develop important life skills and receive competitive employment training. They gain confidence, learn teamwork, and build the tools they need to succeed in the workforce, all while creating delicious dishes in a professional setting.

As a Florida-based business with deep roots in Palm Beach, TooJay’s was proud to be part of this program and to have the opportunity to give back to the community. Supporting talented students and helping shape future careers is an experience that means a great deal to our team.

Being featured on NBC and FOX in the Shining a Light segment allowed us to share this story with a wider audience and celebrate the impact that partnerships like this can have. Together with Gulfstream Goodwill, we were not only serving great food but also helping build brighter futures for the next generation of culinary professionals.

Corned beef with cabbage, red potatoes, and carrots

Ah, corned beef and cabbage—the dish that screams St. Patrick’s Day louder than a pint (or two) of green beer. But here’s the kicker: this “Irish” classic? It’s got some serious Jewish deli roots!

Back in the 19th century, Irish immigrants in America swapped their traditional pork for kosher corned beef, thanks to their Jewish neighbors. Paired with cabbage (because, hey, it was cheap and delicious), this new tradition took off. And just like that, corned beef and cabbage became the ultimate Irish-American mash-up meal!

Fast-forward to today, and we’re keeping the tradition alive—New York-style, of course. For two weeks only, we’re serving up this beloved dish with that signature deli flair, plus more limited time DELIcious treats. So whether you’re Irish, Jewish, or just hungry, pull up a chair and dig in. Sláinte and l’chaim!

Available 3/4/25-3/17/25.

TOOJAYS AT LAKE WORTH CHALK-FEST

This past weekend, we had an absolute blast at the Lake Worth ChalkFest, soaking in the creativity, vibrant energy, and, of course, the incredible chalk art lining the streets! Seeing our community come together to celebrate local talent reminded us why we love calling Lake Avenue home for over 30 years.

TooJay’s has been serving up New York-style deli favorites in Lake Worth for decades, and every year, events like ChalkFest make us even prouder to be part of this amazing community. Whether you stopped by our booth, grabbed a bite at the deli, or simply enjoyed the festival—we’re grateful for your support!

Here’s to many more years of great food, great art, and great neighbors. See you soon at TooJay’s!
